Bioinformatics Intensive: Stream II
The second stream of the Bioinformatics Intensive was successfully held
From July 19 to 21, 2022, the Metagenome Analysis Lab team held the second stream of the Skoltech course on genomic data analysis for high school and college students. The program was arranged in the same way as in the first stream, with some additions and improvements.
On the first day there were introductory lectures by Matvei Kolesnik and Konstantin Severinov about modern sequencing methods.

The second and third days were devoted to practical sessions. In the first part of the workshop, participants learned how to use the command line in Linux, familiarized themselves with genomic data and the process of genome assembly and annotation.
In the second part, they looked for mutations, determined their location, and tried to predict the properties of the protein.
