Who are we?
We are a team of scientists from Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and the Center for Marine Research of Moscow State University. Our main focus is metagenomic research.
We organize expeditions to collect samples from seas, hot springs and volcanoes across Russia, isolate and culture bacteria and viruses, sequencing them and conducting bioinformatics research.
Our laboratory, where we do wet research and analyze data, is located at Skoltech.
An important area of our work is citizen science; we involve schoolchildren and undergraduate students in projects, give lectures and develop courses on bioinformatics and metagenome analysis.
